Capital Construction Company has a proud and distinguished history dating back to 1930, which is described below. In addition, we have provided an Interactive Timeline which describes many of the significant dates, events and buildings constructed in this period.

Capital Construction Company was organized and incorporated on March 1st, 1930. The company grew steadily dealing primarily in construction of theaters, factories, warehouses and government installations up to and during the Second World War.

During the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s the company grew and added projects such as retail shopping, schools, churches and industrial plants. A relationship was established with Lockheed during the 1950s building numerous projects at their Marietta, Georgia facility. That working relationship continues to this date.

We believe in building long lasting relationships with our customers, a philosophy which has sustained our company for three-quarters of a century.

Some of our notable projects in Atlanta also include major landmarks such as the Georgia Institute of Technology's Research Center at Lockheed and Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field, home of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

We have also established relationships that go well beyond contractor/owner associations, such as with Rich's. After we built their Store for Homes, we placed the Christmas tree atop the building annually.

Capital has been a member of the Associated General Contractors of America since 1933. During this time three principals of Capital, including the current company president, have served as President of the Georgia Branch, AGC.

For three-quarters of a century, Capital Construction has made its mark on the Atlanta landscape and surrounding areas and continues to do so. Our company was founded and continues to operate on the simple principles of skill, integrity and responsibility.
